Merry Christmas

"The most wonderful time of the year" I wouldn't go to that extent, but I surely love Christmas. It brings everyone together. I always have high hopes for this two day celebration. The great reunion the families have during Christmas eve until the reoccurring food comas from Christmas day. I thought this was the first year my family wouldn't do anything on Christmas eve. I mean don't get me wrong, we had plans for Christmas day, but I was just too caught up on tradition. I was sad, but my mom and I made the best of everything. Even if we started off rocky in the beginning of the day, going shopping and watching movies together just assured me that Christmas isn't all about the festivities. It really is about your family, and just spending time with them. And soon after that realization, things got together and my family had that Christmas eve dinner I always looked forward too. Everything does work out for the better. And what a better way to realize it on the joyous day of the year.

Tomorrow is Christmas Day. More eating, more games, more family. I can't wait! I love my family and I'm just so blessed to be with them tomorrow. I really am.

And to my special one, I know our situation can't even bring us to greet each other during this day. But just know that I'll be hoping that this Christmas, they'll be good to you over there. I know it's horrible that I'm crossing my fingers for a phone call, but maybe Santa will give me just that. I told you in my letters that "All I want for Christmas is you" Haha but I know Santa's present will be 26 days late. I wish you enjoyed my small Christmas package and kow that Christmas makes me realize the love you've given me this whole entire year. And by far, that's a wonderful gift.
