Beijing 2008

Olympics, Beijing Olympics. This was simply the best Olympics by far. Maybe I haven't watched enough different Olympic venues, but you can truly see the effort millions of people put in it. Constructing the Bird's Nest is already going above and beyond any previous Olympics. The Opening, holy shit. The drums, the lighting, the choreography, and the stunts. And of course the games. Michael Phelps with his 8 gold medals, Nastia Liukin and her gold medal in the Women's Gymnastic best all around, and my favorite, Team USA men's basketball winning the Gold back! I feel so attached. I hate how it happens only every four years. Maybe anticipation is the greatest part, but it's also a pain in the ass. Winter Olympics has nothing on Summer Olympics. No doubt. I'm actually watching the closing ceremony right now. Maybe I'm assuming, but I have a pretty good feeling the Beijing Olympics will still shit on the London Olympics. Alright, time for me to calm down. Haha. But I will miss it. I feel like it gave the world a sense of harmony. It gave the world a time for peace. A moment to actually feel together despite how much despair and hate there is. Also, in every athlete you see a glimpse of a perfect person. The strive, the passion, and there love for their game. Damn. I love the Olympics, and I can't wait four years from now. London better tear it up, I swear.
